We have an opportunity for a new beauty therapy apprentice at our salon in Eastbourne.

You will be trained by Saks Apprenticeships - England's number one Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy training provider in level 2 beauty.

If you're an enthusiastic and motivated individual looking to begin a successful career in beauty therapy, this could be the role for you!


Main duties to include: 

  • Reception duties

  • Meeting & greeting clients

  • Making refreshments

  • Assisting qualified stylists/therapists

  • Day to day cleaning & tidying of salon

  • Opportunity to practice your training with model clients

  • Progress onto Level 3 Beauty Therapy here at the salon

  • Opportunity to progress onto other beauty and aesthetic treatments with in house training 

Weekly Wage 

£129.00 = 30- hours per week

Future Prospects 

We are looking for an apprentice that we can recruit to sustain a long-term career & the chance to develop and progress to a Level 3 beauty therapist.

Once fully qualified, Beauty Therapists earn on average £14,000-£30,000 per year.

Training to be Provided

Level 2 Beauty therapy diploma

Maths & English Functional Skills

Employability Skills to include to be able to

  • demonstrate professionalism and a passion for the industry

  • correct behaviours and communication & safe working practices in the beauty industry

Skills Required

  • Be able to communicate effectively

  • Be able to listen to others and ask questions.

  • Speak clearly so listeners can understand.

  • Reason and problem solve

  • Concentrate and not be distracted while performing a task.

  • Manage oneself, people, time, and things

  • Enjoy working with people and alone

  • Quick learner

Qualifications Required

Maths And English GCSE A-C (desired, not needed)

Trained in any Beauty treatments would be an advantage

From the 1st April 2021 a National Minimum Wage (NMW) for apprentices was introduced for young people aged 16-18 and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. The new rate is £4.30 per hour. The new NMW applies to time working plus time spent training as this is also part of the Apprenticeship. Anyone not covered by the age category above will be entitled to the NMW appropriate to their age.

Training on the Apprenticeships Programme for 16 to 18 year olds is a priority and fully funded by Government. Training for Apprenticeships for those over this age is part funded, with employers expected to make a 5% contribution for all learners that are 19+
